New Director For Public Faculty Board

The Keewatin-Patricia District Faculty Board has appointed a brand new Director of Training.

Christy Radbourne takes over the vacant position beginning September 6.

She is an achieved long-time educator with over twenty years of expertise in public sector schooling and personal consulting.

Radbourne most lately labored for the Ministry of Training as Pupil Achievement Officer, however she additionally comes from the Lakehead Faculty Board, the place she spent 11 years.

She holds a Grasp of Training from Lakehead College and is working towards her PhD collectively with Lakehead, Brock, and the College of Windsor.

The KPDSB says Radbourne has created many community-based sources and packages in Indigenous schooling and cultural competency.

They add she has offered at nationwide and worldwide schooling and psychological well being conferences on relationship-based schooling, Indigenous schooling, and environmental schooling.

Radbourne says, “I’m humbled and honoured to hitch the Keewatin-Patricia District Faculty Board and proceed the wonderful work and management of workers, bettering achievement and well-being for each pupil. I sit up for working with our communities and Indigenous companions to extend alternatives and constructive outcomes.”

She replaces Sherri-Lynne Pharand, who took the same job with the Lakehead Public Faculty Board in Thunder Bay.
