LeMoyne Arts announces tribute to beloved artist Ron Yrabedra

LeMoyne Arts’ principal drawing and painting studio in its new artwork education center will be named the Ron Yrabedra Drawing and Portray Studio.

This tribute is meant to honor the position Yrabedra performed in the development of LeMoyne and to keep alive the memory of the beloved artist, teacher and buddy of Tallahassee’s arts neighborhood. As this kind of, LeMoyne is trying to find pals of Ron Yrabedra, who died at age 78 on Feb. 18, 2022,  to donate to ensure his legacy lives on in the upcoming technology of artists.

When LeMoyne’s designs for its new education centre grew to become actuality, the strategy took hold to integrate within the new center an acknowledgment of Yrabedra’s significant part in LeMoyne and his life time of service as inspiring instructor and mentor, extraordinary artist, witty storyteller, and generous close friend.

LeMoyne intends to go on his abundant heritage by its point out-of-the-artwork, accessible classrooms and studios. The education and learning centre will incorporate drawing, watercolor/acrylic/oil portray, fiber arts, blended media, electronic media, glass arts and adaptable open up studio and workshop house.

A consultant of LeMoyne’s Board of Directors satisfied with Yrabedra in February 2022 to talk about first concepts with him.
